Day 29 253.3 lbs

I CROSSED OVER 20 POUNDS THIS MONTH! Yes, that was meant to be yelled, at the top of my damn lungs no less. 20.8 lbs as of today and there are two days left in the month. The goal was 20, and that has been achieved! It is truly amazing to me!

I’ll do a month end recap on Saturday this week, Feb. 1, 2020. Trying to detail some more about food and habit changes that have brought me to this place and will take me to my ultimate goal. I’m not letting that goal cat out of the bag just yet, but the body fat percentage goal is 10. That’s right, 10 percent body fat at the end. And from there I’ll start putting lean muscle back on at the gym and on the bike. Oh, and running too because I have a 10K in June I need to be trained for and 26.2 miles in January next year.

I am hoping my beautiful lady will have a drink with me this evening in celebration. She’s doing so well too, her clothes are finally starting to give her some results and the scale has been friendly too. She struggles harder than I do so I try to be positive and encouraging when things don’t go her way. It’s not about what we do once a week, like have a cocktail, but rather what we do every day that truly counts. And what we do is eat plant based.

Next month’s goal is 15 pounds. It’s a short month even with the extra day of leap year so 15 should be achievable based on the results of this month. If I can do that, it means it’s the lightest I’ve been since I was 30 and possibly my mid 20’s. I had some very dark years where nothing went right in my life so I ate and drank and blacked out the world as best I could. There aren’t excuses, but that’s what it was. So achieving this next goal is big, very big! If it goes right then I’ll be less than 240 pounds by March 1, which is a 5K with my sister. I think that seems like an achievable goal, and I’d like to make it.

Be ready for a long post Saturday. I’m trying to put together a set of links where I got information. Possibly some recipe ideas for anyone that might care and I’ll post some before and after pics, which will be horrifying and has to be done.
