1 pound a day. I can still hardly believe it. I haven’t been working hard to lose but I haven’t been working hard to gain or stay even either, and I’ve been sticking to the plan. The weight seems to keep falling off and I’m excited about it.
Spent some time on the mountain bike yesterday, enjoying the post rain air in Phoenix. The rain seems to clear the air out here very nicely and it feels fresh outside. What’s more is that tires are able to dig right into the soft, moist dirt and traction is unreal. Always fun to ride the day after a rain.
Running a 5K with my sister this weekend. That’s really starting to become fun for me. I’m 35 + pounds lighter than the last one we ran in October last year and I know I’m in better cardio vascular shape. I hope my running muscles haven’t been too compromised by spending so much time on the bike, so maybe this week I’ll try to get a run or two in just to be sure.
I need to get back to taking pictures at least once a week. During a plateau I stopped in a moment of frustration and haven’t returned. I try as a rule to keep my morning routine as slim as possible to get out the door quickly, so stopping to take pictures has slipped. What I can say is that my clothes are falling off of me. All of my pants are belted up hard, bunching the excess material on my sides to keep it from looking like I’ve shat myself. And most of my shirts are now falling off of my shoulders. This is a strange feeling because it has been continuing without undue efforts. It’s not like I’m working out super hard and watching every calorie. What a change,.. it’s amazing!
