Yup, that’s right! Stress relief is a huge factor in how your body holds weight. More stress in general equals more weight, at least for me it does. That makes 12 and a half pounds the month of January alone, added to a couple last month and I’m down almost 15 real world, scale tipping pounds!
I rode the bike yesterday. And while on the ride I took dried apricots and raw walnuts as snacks. I knew I would need the sugar of the apricots because the bike tends to burn off all the sugar in my bloodstream and muscles, pretty fast. So keeping up on the sugar demands of the body was crucial in keeping the energy flowing, which in turn burns some fat. I mentioned before I’d had a bowl of oatmeal before the ride, and then after I polished off the rest of the apricots and walnuts I’d brought along. After a while at home I went out to the garden and picked some red romaine, onion, radish, carrots and spinach. What a great salad that made! And all from the garden in my back yard, so I knew it’s organic and as good as I can get. Dressed with some really nice balsamic and salt and pepper, delish!
As fate would have it, that’s the last thing I ate yesterday. It kept me relatively full for the remainder of the day. I thought about 7 or 8 I would get hungry but no. And the scale this AM was very generous.
