Day 5 267.1 lbs

8 tenths of a pound. I am happy about this, really! I deviated yesterday and had 2 pieces of fruit, an orange and a banana. And a small handful of walnuts!

When I watched Ray Cronise on a podcast not long ago, while doing research, he said people in his coaching program lose from 6 to 8 tenths of a pound every day. That’s why I know this is the right track! If I can keep this up I wont be only amazed at being able to reach my goal, but crush it!

This is the first weekend. The first time I’m not at the office all day with people at me for things, creating stress. So I’m wondering how my body will respond. I have things to do, both for a personal project and around the house. I live alone essentially, with my 13 year old daughter, so there’s no real help around my house. Laundry, cleaning and all other manner of housework falls to me. My daughter is here part time and the other time I spend at Claire’s house. Really I have a part time house with a full time commitment which makes life really busy when I’m home. We all live weird to some extent and this is my weird, or part of it anyway. Time is important!

I find myself pushing toward the goal more than before. What does that mean? Today I bought a Forks over Knives magazine to try and begin building my plant based recipe book. Because potato is getting to be damn boring! It’s hard to be dedicated when you’re so damn bored. I have deviated a tiny bit from the potato plan. I have NOT fallen off the plant based wagon though. Everything I’ve eaten has been 100 percent plant based, whole food! Nothing processed at all.

I made Pico de Gallo to put on potatoes. This really is the most simple thing and makes a million differences in how a potato tastes. Pico is roma tomato, white onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime juice with a tiny bit of salt. If you cut the potato down enough into small pieces and mix it all together, this IS NOT on the potato famine, but it sure helps those fucking potatoes go down!
